THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Life is eternally stalked by death. Yet people don’t tolerate the very
mention of the word ‘death’. It is deemed inauspicious to hear that word.
Anything maybe uncertain, death is certain. It is impossible to change that
law. However insufferable it is, every living thing received a ticket to
death at birth and every moment is proceeding nearer and nearer to it. The
samsar (life) train you are journeying on is taking you to that destination,
whether you sit quiet or lie down or read or meditate or sing in the
journey. Recognise this truth and turn your mind over to good mental
tendencies (samskaras). Everyone must examine themselves rigorously, spot
defects, and endeavour to correct them. When people uncover and realise
their own defects, it is like being reborn. People then start anew, from a
new childhood. This is the genuine moment of awakening. (Prema Vahini, Ch
27)

Those who are living with HIV and AIDS must remember that we are all going
to lose our body one way or another. Everybody is going to die. Now lift
your eye above this body consciousness to know your spirit. Spirit has no
disease. Spirit is beyond it. Keep your mind alive, energetic, loving and
happy. People with disease die and people with no disease also die.
Sometimes they die out of nowhere. Sometimes sick people live longer and
many times healthy people suddenly die. All possibilities are there. So,
know that you are more than the body. You are consciousness. You are light.
Honor that light. Please don’t sit and brood over it. Look ahead and engage
your life in educating others who are not informed about HIV. And instead of
seeking solace, become a giver of solace to others.
“When the essence of religion and spirituality are universal human values,
it is vital that we drop our miniscule identities, join hands and take
bigger responsibilities to make this world free of disease, stress and
social evils.”

of Love
-------------------------------
When you love someone, then you do get hurt sometimes. It happens this way,
and we have to live through it. So do not run away from it.
Getting hurt is a part of love.
When there is love, it also sometimes brings pain. But to be afraid of pain
and to stop loving, and shutting down completely is foolishness, which a lot
of people do.
To stop being in love because it hurts at times is not an intelligent
decision at all. It is the most foolish thing that one can ever do.
But those who sail through that little pinch and move on, will get the real,
blissful love.

How to relieve stress with Sudarshan Kriya?
Nature is replete with various rhythms and cycles – day follows night, night
follows day, seasons come & go. Similarly, there are biological rhythms in
our body, mind and emotions. When these rhythms are in sync, we have a sense
of harmony and well being. When stress or illness upsets the rhythm, we
experience discomfort and discontent and feel upset and unhappy.
“We need to do a cleansing process within ourselves. In sleep we get rid of
fatigue, but the deeper stresses remain in our body. Sudarshan Kriya
cleanses the system from the inside. The breath has a great secret to offer”
-Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

Eternity Process
Our past impressions carry weight and determine how well we face the present
moment and how well we can live life to its full capacity, free from fears
and negative emotions.
To help us to overcome past impressions, our beloved Guruji (Sri Sri Ravi
Shankar ~ founder of the “Art of Living” Foundation) has designed the
ETERNITY PROCESS, a process that enables us to view past experiences in this
and past lives to erase some karmas in a space surrounded by his love and
grace. We emerge having lived through our past impressions, more alive to
the present moment and to open to celebrating life. The process has given
deep healing experiences to many people.
