THOT of the Week for 3.23.2011 – Adjusting to Infertility

Hey gang, the following link takes you to the YouTube clip of a TV NEWS report from FOX 42 in Omaha, Nebraska.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nnZOeEY08gE

Those of you reading this on a hardcopy hand-out probably won’t take it home and type in that mess so we’ll summarize:

The report focuses around a woman who wanted children but was having trouble getting pregnant.  After three months of chiropractic care she was expecting.  Wonderful story right?  Of course it is.

The NEWS report goes on to say that a recent study found 14 out of 15 infertile women get pregnant after receiving chiropractic care.  That’s even more awesome!  We couldn’t believe those numbers!  Literally, they sounded too good to be true!  That has to be a much better success ratio than many fertility clinics!  (we don’t think we’ve ever used that many exclamation points in a THOT before… but they are definitely justified!)

Many of you have heard the story (and some of you have heard it again and again and again) Todd tells about the day he decided to become a chiropractor:  It is another one about a woman who never thought she’d be able to have kids: the doctors at the fertility clinic had told her so.  Well, she started chiropractic care one day because of low back pain and within six months she was pregnant.  If you want to hear it in full; just ask.  If you happen to be in on the right day at the right time, you may even meet a family or two in our practice that got their start in much the same way.

Important to remember though:  Chiropractors don’t cure infertility.  They never have and never will.  They don’t cure anything.  They simply move the bone, taking pressure off the nerves… GOD does all the rest.

Have a great week.  We’ll see you soon, -Todd and Kelly
