Neighbors
Thank
you for all of your proxies and support. We have listened to your
concerns and are grateful for all of your time and attention.
The
email below explains in better detail than we ever could why Larry
Starnes, Al Gallimore, Scott Black, Lee Griffin and Ed Gluck decided to
run for the Board. The speed hump issue opened many neighbors' eyes
about how decisions were being made in Thornhill, the few voices that
were heard, and the Board's unprofessional response to any challenge.
The
email was sent from an officer of the current Board to over 70
Thornhill families and sadly, denigrates our effort with labels and
numerous inaccuracies. Its tone reflects the way the current Board has
responded all year when questioned on important decisions.

Subject: Tomorrow's Vote
Importance: High
Hello Neighbors!
OK, I HAVE to send out one more email about this because it has gotten serious…tomorrow night is the election of the 2010 Board…7:00 PM at the Pavilion.
IF YOU DID NOT SIGN A PROXY, IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT YOU COME TOMORROW NIGHT TO VOTE IN PERSON!!! IF YOU SIGNED A PROXY FOR SOMEONE ELSE TO VOTE FOR YOU AND YOU HAVE CHANGED YOUR MIND AND WANT TO VOTE…COME AND VOTE IN PERSON. The voting will take place at the very beginning of the Annual Meeting. If you signed your proxy over to someone and you are not sure where he/she stands or who he/she plans on voting for…you need to come and get your proxy returned and vote yourself.
I KNOW FOR A FACT that the same faction that set Thornhill reeling a few years ago with their political stunts is back at it again. I have seen the manipulative emails and I have heard about the same manipulative tactics to get proxies (i.e. Larry Starnes using Ed Ferris’s name as a supporter without permission, using the speedhump issue as a springboard/communication path to get elected). We are officially in a proxy war to get positive, level-headed, thoughtful people on this Board. We may have not made it with proxies so we need you to come in person and vote if you did not give your proxy to a trustworthy person! Who are those?? Send me an email and I can tell you if you signed yours over to a trustworthy person who will do the right thing.
If you think that this is not serious enough to get involved in and let your voice be heard by voting, you are wrong. You will feel and see the effects immediately in Thornhill if the wrong people get elected....in our website, our Reporter, our pool, and possibly our swim team and TWA, among other areas of the neighborhood.
As part of this outgoing Board, I want to ensure that the people coming in to take our place are there to do the right thing as we have tried to do.
I endorse and support the following candidates and encourage you to do the same:
Lauri Mead
Barbara Crabtree
Paul Schexnayder
Scott Black
James Prince
Steve Kiser
Fred Hale
