Also, I'm thinking of entering us in either alternative or genre.  I dunno.  I really don't wanna just enter in long form.  What do we think?

Alternative
Description: Alternative Improv is for shows that are bizarre, ridiculous, weird, scary, shocking or dumb. Not your parents improv, unless your parents are awesome.

Genre (maybe we do a one scene scary movie?  we've done this a few times)
Description: Is your show an improvised play or movie in a particular style? Do you pay homage and imitate a particular author or literary style? Are you improvising episodes of a TV series real or imagined? Then your show probably belongs in this category.

Also also, if we went Genre, I would be tempted to name the show "ThoraBirch's Slumber Party Massacre", and tweak our description a bit.  Here's what I have so far.

Description

"We play dark, we play deep." Using a simple, four scene structure, the gentlemen (Drew Anderson, Derek Van Barham, and Thom Gaughan) play with genre and style to explore complex relationships and dark, dysfunctional characters. Thora offers a unique, alternative perspective: characters burst into song and monologue, players know their campy pop-culture references, and not everyone makes it out of the scenes alive.

Additional information

We have been together for three years, and are very excited to continue growing in Chicago. In addition to headlining a six month run at The Playground Theatre, we enjoyed a run at Donny’s Skybox with “ThoraBirch’s BIRCHday Party”, played charity shows at Center on Halsted and UChicago's LGBTQ Student Life Center, and rocked a packed Qweirdo show at iO Chicago. We were excited to be a part of last year's festival, and participate in the LGBT showcase.

I love the photo of us laying on the floor with cameras--it's my fave :)

I think Alternative might work best1-it won't limit our form and I would absolutely say we for that description.

D, thank you for heading this on. I really appreciate your hard work!

Much love & thanks
Drew

This looks amazing!! Great work--my instinct is to stay away from something which changes our form--I say our improv is already alternative...I trust both of your opinions.

Cool.  I agree.  I'm thinking Alternative, with our current description.  If there's anything you guys think should be added/taken away to play into the Alternative field more....lemme know.

I'm gonna be out of touch most of the afternoon.  Thomas, if you can put your stamp of approval on things, I'll send everything tonight.  Right now, I'm going with Alternative, the description above, the photo of us on the floor with cameras, and links to our FB, Hannah's blog, and the CIF 2013 Reader article with our photo.
xo. you boys are the best.

Boys, we're SUBMITTED.  It was a $30 submission fee (yuk).  I know you guys have probably spent all your money on movies and brunches, but if you can throw $10 my way, that'd be lovely.  I have Chase quickpay (just use my gmail), or maybe this is an excuse to see each other.

Love you miss you may we glisten always.
