Hi folks,
just a quick note to let you know you missed out on a ton of fun last night. We had 27 cars on the grid at Barcelona, I competed in the GT1 class with 8 entrants and came 2nd in the Aston Martin DB9R. I led the class early on in the race, but lost it 20 minutes into the 2h event when I made an unforced and rather stupid error entering the fast left right chicane.
However I wouldn't have stood a chance for the win anyway as the winning C6R was less thirsty than the Aston and Michael Stoye managed to finish on three stops while I had to stop for a quick splash and dash with 8 minutes to go (2x fuel and tyre usage)
Matthias Bögel won the LMP2 if you can believe it, and now we're looking forward to receiving our actual, true to life little trophies in the mail! ;-)
This race was one of the best I've ever been in. We adapted the fuel flow so a stop would take around 100 seconds, plenty of time to go for a wee wee or fill up the beer mug

and have a stretch, so the 2h running time wasn't a problem at all. It was *intense* out there on the track with all the lapping, being lapped and close infighting that was taking place, but all very fair and people going out of their way to get, well, out of your way.
For the next summer fun event, we'll be racing the F1 1967's (slimjim v2.0) at Rouen. As always, every Screamer & THOR member is warmly invited to join the fun (August 6th, I believe).
All the best,
Uwe
PS: I've attached a picture from the rolling start to whet your appetite a bit.
PPS: I know this is off topic (Hello Hristo ), but i'd feel guilty for the rest of my life if I'd fail to inform my Screamers buddies!
