Hi guys,

Just want to let you know that we've still not decided on the exact
date for next season, nor specific rule changes and league outline.

As soon as we have more information we'd let you know, but as for the
moment the only certain thing is - yes, there is going to be next
season and it's going to run the full release of the CART Factor mod.

Another almost 100 % sure thing is we'll switch to 1 race each 2 weeks
format, probably keeping the early race start time. As for the day of
racing, if possible it will be switched from Monday evening to
Saturday afternoon, GMT that is.

To be completely honest, the only reason stopping me (and stopped me
during the Summer Cup) from agreeing on Saturday racing was because of
my participation in oAo.

But as it is, I might simply skip THOR races, until oAo season is over
anyway. If it allows more people to race here, I'm all up for it.

Feedback is welcome,

sadly for me, the opposite is true. even if oAo season ends, i take
those saturdays off. its the only break i get.
i'm happy that you considered oAo - but racing twice in the same won't
be possible for me.. not to mention practicing for 2 different races.

you have to do what is best for your league, but i quite enjoyed the
monday slot~

however even the monday slot is questionable for me, as a substitute
teacher, when i am needed i would only just be walking in the door at
the time the server launched. it would be less than 50-50 for me to make it.

Yeah, and the thing is, I couldn't come up with another day/time that
works for all, it's just impossible. Friday nights people seem
reluctant to race, same goes for Sunday afternoons. Week days it's the
worst, which explains the low attendance in the Summer Cup, more or
less.

Of COURSE it's impossible to find one time that works for everyone,
especially when we have drivers from 2(3?) different continents...

I'm upset that I didn't get a chance to turn a wheel in anger against
you again... Although I haven't improved like you guys have, I'd
still like the CHANCE...<g>

Hey Racers!

Few days ago I joined the THOR-group. I'd like to join your practice
sessions and races to get used to online racing. I was looking for a racing
league that runs a CART / IndyCar mod and finally found you!

Some words about myself:
Name: Matthias Barth
Location: Karlsruhe, Germany
Age: 30

As the full mod "CARTfactor 1.0" is released will THOR Online League also
use it?
Looking forward to some hot races!

Cheers,
Matthias

Hi there, Matthias,

Welcome and thanks for joining. :) Practice sessions are hosted on the
same server that we use for races, but currently, between seasons,
it's being used to test different mods and tracks. The reason is the
server is also used for other leagues. Originally it's the main server
for Uwe's Screamers league, which we collaborate with.

Yes, we're going to use the full release of CART Factor mod for next
season, that is beyond doubt. When is next season going to start I
cannot tell you yet, but hopefully it's going to be during September.
There are some works in process for the website and results system, as
well as a discussion for next season outline and rules, and probably
most importantly - on what day and time of the week the races are
going to be held.

Cheers,

-=Hristo=-
