Starting this week, I am unable to open my .txt files with the Dropbox Editor on the Dropbox Android phone app. I am now being presented with the following message:
Upload to View
This file type can only be viewed if it is first uploaded and converted into a Google Docs file. Do you want to continue?
I do not want to use Google Docs for my .txt files. I have tried that provided option, but you then must tie the document to a Google account, and it does annoying auto-formatting and such which I am purposely trying to avoid by using .txt files in the first place.
Is Dropbox editor being deprecated? Is there any way to use another text editor on my device instead of converting to a Google Doc and tying back to a Google account? I am unable to even try to open this document using another editor now, you get the same 'Upload to View' message when clicking the kabab menu too

@Nancy Thanks for the quick response Nancy. What is the best way to send over a screenshot? I am not seeing a way to add it to my original post or here in a comment

Hi, I was exporting without problems with Godot version 4.2, I updated to version 4.3 dev3 and now I have the error that the SDK path does not exist (it is correct in the editor options), the adb.exe file also exists. Could you know what the problem would be? Update Android Studio and also install the versions recommended by the 4.2 documentation
This may seem like a silly question but does anyone know how to zoom in/out of the editor window in android studio? I have actually researched it before people give me minus marks. Ctrl+ and Ctrl- seem to fold and unfold methods, there is no zoom control in the view drop-down and all the googleing ive done has referred my to zoom the control feature of a WebView. Am i missing something?
IntelliJ and Android Studio have decent built-in search for finding application functions. In the preferences dialog, you can just start typing to do search (you can just start typing from a lot of places in the UI to begin a search); there's also a search box.
I'm not able to open the translation editor in Android Studio as I don't see it anywhere where it should be.When I right click on some .xml file there is no option for that. My Android Studio is a fresh installation with no changes so far. Does anyone know how to fix this?Screenshot

The latest Android pre-release features an improved beta editor, which I hope could become a replacement for the very basic editor we have at the moment. To enable it, open the configuration screen then scroll down and select "Use beta editor".
Yes I mean a backup on desktop at least, so even if something goes wrong on mobile there's a chance the note has been synced before and backed up. The note history also could help on mobile if there's an issue.
Tried it a bit. Mostly works but a few times the body edit field was empty and not editable. Switching to viewer mode and back to edit again fixed it. Only happened occasionally, I am not able to reliably reproduce it.
And logs are clean too.
That's probably an error when the component is created. But I've just realised I'm logging to console, which would show up in adb logcat but not in the app log. I'll update that, so that at least we can know what's causing this.
This is really awesome! I've been wanting to play around with CodeMirror 6 for awhile now and I'm glad to see that you've beat me too it. I had a quick look at the code and it seems like there are some similarities to the desktop, are you planning on eventually extending this to use a single shared editor between the desktop and mobile? Or is there something preventing that?
If we wanted to use the same editor in both desktop and mobile I guess the main goal would be to find how to re-use the existing desktop code. Perhaps it would even make sense to start from the desktop app, switch to CM6 and try to get things working, then use this in mobile with whatever tweak is needed (for example on mobile we could disable vim mode, some keyboard shortcuts, etc.).

Thank you for your amazing software. It's the first time that I've used a Note app to organize all my notes and rely on it exclusively. Used Evernote for a while but got tired of it and my notes got scattered all over different apps like Evernote, Google Keep, Apple Notes, Google Drive files, Dropbox Paper etc. Slowly consolidating them into Joplin. It also became a time consuming hobby
With this new editor, are there any plan to add a better copy and paste feature in Android that support the basic HTML formats such link, list, heading, image, table, code fence, etc. when copying from website?
This one feature that I really miss since I do most note taking on my phone and tablet while not at home. Right now I have to save link or clip articles and then copy notes when at home using the desktop Jopl6.
