I'm using the following configuration to develop on and often need to copy text in thonny and paste it in my MacOS Notes app as a placeholder.

Typically, I can copy from MacOS Notes and paste it into thonny.
For some reason I can't figure out, when I copy in thonny and then try pasting in MacOS Notes, the copied text is not pasted, but rather whatever I copied previously from some other MacOS application is pasted. It seems to mean XQuartz doesn't transfer the contents of the Pi's clipboard from thonny over to the MacOS clipboard. I'm not sure how to test whether it's caused by XQuartz or by thonny. Any constructive advice or particularly troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated.

SSH host config:
   Raspberry Pi 4B
   Raspberry Pi OS (bullseye)
   thonny 3.3.10

SSH client config:
   MacOS X Ventura 13.1
   XQuartz 2.8.5

Do I understand correctly that you are using a remote desktop solution, where Thonny's GUI is running on the RPi but it is used on macOS?

Best regards,

I'm running Thonny 4.02 on a Mac M2 with Ventura 13.2.1

I can copy/paste anything from Thonny's main window or the shell into another app.

However, if I copy text from Thonny, then click cmd-S to Save, I cannot paste the text into Mac's Save dialog. I have to manually type a title.

Anyone else with this issue?
