Hello,
I wonder if it is possible to input Python statement (for instance function definition) on multiple lines in the shell, if so how could I do that?
If not is it on your feature roadmap?
Thanks.
P.S. : great tool by the way! I will give a 101 programming class soon and I am looking forward using Thonny.

Hi, Marcus!
I'm glad you like Thonny and I wish you luck with your course!
Multiline shell input is not possible at the moment, but it is already in TODO list:
https://bitbucket.org/plas/thonny/issues/90/add-shell-support-for-indented-code-blocks
best regards,
Aivar
