Hey Aivar,
I am currently teaching a course on microcontroller programming and the majority of my students use Chromebooks. They aren't able to use Thonny IDE to connect to their microcontrollers because the version that they are able to download from the Debian repository (using sudo apt install thonny) is V 3.1.
It's quite difficult for a beginner to launch the most up-to-date version of Thonny using PyPi every time, so I was wondering if it would be possible to update the Debian repository that Thonny is currently using in order to install Thonny for Chromebooks.
Would you be able to do this?
Thanks again,
Ryan Dehmoubed
