Howard,  Look at Thonny "Tools" on the menu bar.  Then select "Interpreter" and you will get this screen.

See if you can enter or select the path to your Python there.  This option if for Python or Thonny environments but it may help.

Python 3 Execution Path

The path is /opt/homebrew/bin/python3.   Unfortunately, I'm unable to specify the path though Thonny's setting. Can any one give me a hint to fix this issue?     Thanks       Howard

The only two ways to indicate the path are :

1. Use the dropdown menu

2. Select from the folder

   

Unfortunately, either one of the two unable to find the path. Actually, the path should under Macintosh.

That means : Macintosh -> opt -> homebrew -> bin -> Python3

For securities or some other issues, the "opt" folder is invisible.

That's why I raise this issue here.

If possible, I prefer to see manual input like following which was captured from Spyder6.

I tried Spyder6, PyCharm, Wing Personal, Fleet and Windsurf. The code runs very well. I use Thonny

always got the error popup window.

I guess it's because of the tkinter module.
