Hi All,

I've been using Thonny on Windows without issue for a while.

I recently been asked to help set up Thonny on an M1 Macbook Air.
(Running 13.2.1)

Installed fine from the Website package download. (in to Applications for all users, not ~/Applications)

When the Pico w is connected it shows up as a USB modem in /dev.
When trying to access it from Thonny it takes a few seconds and then says the port is in use try again later.
I've checked with lsof and nothing else is using it.

I've tried running it from the shell as well as removing it and installing though pip, everything has the same problem.

MacOS has been a PITA in the past for blocking access to features and functions so I've checked system settings and nothing appears to show there as would cause an issue.

Has anyone else had problems using Thonny with a M1 Mac?

Thanks,

Jeff
