Good afternoon owners,

Has anyone received a letter from Management announcing the AGM meeting?

Please see the discussion below. As owners, we must make an effort to be at the meeting.

I still vote that we have Heritage take over in our behalf. There is too much to do in the setting up and there is no need risking our investment with incompetence.

Dear Mr Chairman,

As agreed in the last meeting, today we held a meeting with Mr. Varsani, the developers of Thompson Apartments, in his office. The following were the issues discussed and the way forward:

They are willing and ready to hand over the property to the owners of Thompson Apartments
They will officially had over following the AGM which has now been set for November 29, 2014 at 10:00 am. 

Their Lawyer Mr. Bengi Miriti of BMA Associates, (who also owns an apartment at the complex) will send out the notices today/tomorrow to conform with the 21 day notice period for calling of the AGM. (We were unable to reach him today to confirm that this will be done, but will follow up). The notices will be sent only to the owners.

Part of the agenda will include the handing over of the management company to the owners as well as presenting the Audited Accounts which we were informed are now ready.

They will then hand over to you and/or us as your appointed Property Manager to oversee the affairs of the management company

Mr Varsani intimated that he had dealt with us in good faith and that he would have preferred to have seen a letter authorising us to act on your behalf signed by all the owners. We told him this was impractical (to have all owners sign the document), but  we assured him that the committee had indeed been formed and that there were several proxies received supporting the decision..

We have attached a draft appointment letter for your kind consideration and execution. In the meantime, we ask that you kindly let us know as soon as any one of you has received the notice of the AGM. We would like to remind them should you not have received the notices by 7th of November 2014
