Dear Committee members,

We wish to inform you that there was a robbery at A3 apartment on Sunday 18th at 5 pm.

According to the guard, he was alerted by a house help of a neighbouring apartment, of the commotions in the said apartment. On reaching the apartment he was asked to call the police by the occupants. He immediately locked the main gate and called for backup.

The robbers were three men and a woman. The woman was keeping vigil outside the apartment while the men run sacked the apartment. There are conflicting reports of the number of thugs. The occupants of the apartment claim there were more than three according to the house boy of the apartment. The robbers were armed with a pistol. They tied the occupants hand and blind folded them.

They stole cash (estimated to be kshs 400,000.00), tablet, laptop and cellar phones.

When back up  arrived, the police were called and both the occupants and the guard recorded a statement at Muthangari police station, OB no 4718/1/2015.

The assailants did not leave the compound through the gate and it suspected there are residents within Thompsons. It was not possible to conduct a house to house search as the police needed a warrant for such an operation.

Investigations are ongoing and we will update you as new developments arise.

Please be aware of your surroundings at all times and report any suspicious activity or people to the guards and to us immediately.

Regards

Mutuku Munywoki
