Ambala, November 14
A youth was murdered in a clash on polytechnic campus in Ambala City today. The deceased has been identified as Sunil Kumar, a resident of Jind. Another youth Bhupinder Singh also sustained serious injuries and was admitted in the local Civil Hospital.Sunil Kumar, a student of a college in Jind, had come to polytechnic college here to meet his friends. Meanwhile, a clash took place between two groups over some issue. One of the friends of the deceased has disclosed the name of the assailants to the police. He said Sunil was stabbed to death. The police has registered a murder case in this regard.Sunil was brought to the local Civil Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. According to hospital sources, Sunil sustained several deep injuries on the chest and stomach.Following the incident, students of the institution blocked the Ambala-Hisar highway near Polytechnic Chowk. The agitated students also ransacked the barricades on the road. The police had to restore to lathicharge to control the situation. Few students were also rounded up.
