A meat and potatoes kind of film, filling and oh so satisfying! I enjoyed it so much it made me want to view the 1990 original! Heavy brutality balanced with gorgeous locales, sets, costumes and song and dance sequences that didn't feel out of place! In fact I was quite taken with them! The religious and celebratory scenes exploded with bursts of every imaginable color and for this I thank my lucky stars that I'm not colorblind!

A straightforward revenge action drama, that does have its set of drags and dull moments with over the top melodrama, but the songs, visuals and the outstanding performances from Hrithik Roshan and Sanjay Dutt make it a watchable one.

Hindi movies have a tendency to paint in the broadest strokes imaginable but the filmmakers know how to do it well. In "Agneepath," the good guys are impossibly good and the bad guys are impossibly evil. The story takes on an almost Biblical quality as a result, which is enhanced by the dizzying camera work, seamless editing, and rich production values. Hrithik Roshan seems to be struggling to play a character this tormented, but his physicality is ultimately what sells the role. "Agneepath" is a bloody but crowd-pleasing piece of pop entertainment.

The greatest Bollywood remake of all time that not only outperforms the original but also adds a plethora of fresh and interesting elements. The production and performances alone make it an amazing entertainment. It's the best mass entertainer Bollywood has ever produced.

I appreciate adding ugliness to the material with Sanjay Dutt and Rishi Kapoor (his song his great!), but why bother at all if you're gonna mute the protagonist so much? Hrithik just looked like a blank slate when Amitabh did so much yelling, wailing, crying in the original. No, thank you, there's no fun in it.
