*Early Telugu inscription from Piṭikāyagulla,Andha Pradesh*
This inscription is engraved on a slab erected in front of the Piṭikëśvara temple in
Pitikāyagulla,Bestavaripeta Mandalam,Prakasam district,A.P.
It is written in Telugu language and characters of the 8th century CE
TEXT
1 Svastiśrī Naṇḍēlu vari
2 Chēnsinavanṭhu prāṇī
3 miḷḷi āchāri
4 Paḍasina nava kaṭṭa [||*]
Seems to record the new construction of the embankment (*nava kaṭṭa)* by Prāṇīmiḷḷi āchāri (sculptor), probably when king was ruling at Renādu.
