He meant that your last flight was with the aircraft you then deleted. Hence when you start up the simulator again it searches for that aircraft and can't find it anymore. If you now delete the main.mcf then it will be rebuilt with the default aircraft (the Cessna I think).

I wish I had more time to convert other planes to AFS2 - it is still far Beyond P3D or XP11 in some areas, but it is a respectable flight simulator on its own and it is still my go-to simulator whenever my friends want to try Virtual Reality at my place - performance is stellar, and even with the most complex Orbx sceneries it is super-smooth and provides a great sense of immersion.
It was the simulator that reintroduced me to flight simming. It seemed pretty decent but had some major drawbacks not least was the lack of any reasonable terrain outside of the areas you can get add on packs (including the free ones) for. That left me a little frustrated and rendered the big jets pretty useless on the package. The planes also seemed pretty simplistic and there was a lack of any add ons to really improve the basic package. The community was really good though.
I grabbed Aerofly FS2 on a steam sale last year, and I thoroughly enjoyed it for doing some quick VR trips. But I came from X-Plane 11 and also having real world experience prior to all of that. Aerofly FS2 just lacks so much depth from flight modeling, systems, navigation, weather, lighting, etc. It's very game like in its approach, which isn't a bad thing. For many that just want to fly, it's about the best thing for just jumping in and flying in an easy to use and understand package. What is included all runs smoothly and works quite well. As @redshift27 pointed out, the world just doesn't have as much actually going on and being rendered as in X-Plane 11 (although I couldn't tell you if Aerofly's engine is better optimized but just that it's not rendering nearly as much).
There's a lot to like about Aerofly FS2 from a pure flying and VFR enjoyment standpoint, and it definitely has an easier learning curve than many other simulators.

EGT output values from the simulator depend on the add-on developer, flight simulator (FSX, Prepar3D, X-Plane, FS2020) and even between flight simulator updates (especially X-Plane). Because this changes so much, we have added the option to the EGT gauges to set the maximum EGT. Lowering this value will bring the needle up, increasing this value will bring the needle down. You will have to manually tweak it for your application. Select the EGT instrument and you'll see the option to change the temperature.
