Our Ballet Resource and Volunteer Organization (BRAVO) is a group of more than 300 ballet enthusiasts whose support is vital to the on-going operation of San Francisco Ballet. Its members donate an extraordinary 11,000 volunteer hours every year to the organization. Over the years, BRAVO members have given more than 350,000 hours of voluntary service to SF Ballet, saving the Company more than $12 million. In 2010, the SF Ballet Board of Trustees named BRAVO a Great Benefactor in recognition of the value of their contributions. In honor of its 50th Anniversary, BRAVO has been named Honorary Chair of the 2024 School Spring Festival Dinner.

While BRAVO members are busy all year round, they are most needed in December and January. During the Nutcracker season, more than 40 volunteers are needed for each performance. The Opening Night Gala follows in January when up to 60 volunteers are required.

BRAVO members have an opportunity to meet other dance enthusiasts when they volunteer and when they attend bi-monthly General Membership Meetings. SF Ballet dancers and high-level staff are guest speakers at these meetings, giving BRAVO members a unique opportunity to increase their knowledge of the Company and the world of dance.

After your application is completed, you will be contacted about attending an introductory meeting for prospective volunteers, typically on a Saturday morning in October or February. The meeting gives you a chance to learn about BRAVO, gives us a chance to meet you, and helps us both confirm that volunteering for SF Ballet is right for you. If you have any questions, please email us at br...@sfballet.org.

Favorite thing about OCC: The Theater Arts Program at OCC is outstanding. The instructors are passionate and highly qualified, and the facilities are state-of-the-art. It's a great example of educational excellence.

The Future Pirate Center helps all prospective and new students apply to the college and register for classes. As a Navigator, you would be responsible for staffing our front desk and giving campus tours, as well as helping students apply to OCC, login to their MyCoast, book their counseling appointment, and register for classes. In addition, our office hosts different events and workshops throughout the year that you would help prepare for by stuffing folders, creating swag bags, and more.
