People who meant to go on tomorrow’s walk are suddenly unavailable! Suddenly there are 8 spots open.
It’ll be the third weekend for this walk! (& the last one following this route for a while)
If you are available tomorrow, March 8 at 10 a.m. and want to join the walk described below, let me know asap.
Mission Creek historical route:
2 to 2½ hours walk along the edge of the dune system unraveling the historical interactions between estuarial marsh (sometimes known as Mission Creek) and the dune edge. We’ll discuss the earliest known inhabitants and their use of the space, plus how the Mission Dolores was positioned to take advantage of all that. I’ll bring pictures!
The walk will start in the flats and end near Church & Duboce. There are currently 8 spots open on this walk. Maximum on the walk will be 12 people.
The starting location is 16th & Harrison, SW corner (Treat Plaza). You *must* RSVP by email or reach me and talk to me on the phone.
Make a donation of $20 to $40 at the end of the walk by Venmo, cash, PayPal, pigeon poop, whatever.
Be well!
