Hello water walkers, thinklers, sprinklers and talkers!
The Zoom presentation I mentioned in my email last week is now available on YouTube. I hope you enjoy it, as I did. There were dozens present for the live stream. (Thank you for coming!)
It wasn’t a perfect event, by any stretch. We got shockingly Zoom bombed (has been removed by editor) and there were other wifi glitches, so a word is missing or garbled in five or six places. Reviewing, I see I talked with too few pauses, but there are various ways to address that as you watch: Pause it, or click the gear (settings) and change the Playback speed. You can even choose “Custom” at the top of the speed options. I find that setting the speed at 85% (custom) is a good way to follow new concepts without having to rewind.

In case you want to overdose on my water (and transportation) commentary, you can sneak into a Stanford Urban Design Studio class from April 19, 2021 via this link:

And if you're really bingeing away on local water history, there’s a fairly hilarious “participation” aspect to a talk Gary Kamiya gave July 13, 2016, that I barnstormed. This link brings you to the point in the video right after he finishes reading from his award-winning book Cool Gray City of Love. But you can start earlier in the video if you like.
