rake ts:dd and backgrounding

what's the recommended way to run "rake ts:dd" permanently in the
background and survive a daily "touch /tmp/restart.txt" and a
gracefully apache restart (logrotate)?

To be honest, I've no idea - but it's worth asking on the delayed job
list instead, because it'd be just the same for the default jobs:work
task.
