Excerpts in matched fields only?

Is it possible to show excerpts for only the matched fields? I want to display an excerpt from a different field depending on which field the query matched in. 

Is the only option to do a search with fieldmask rank order to identify the matched fields first?

Hi Travis

Yeah, Sphinx doesn't provide any intelligence with excerpts around the matching fields - fieldmask may be the way to go, if that's essential.
