Warning appearing in searchd.log about renaming a file failing

Looking at log/searchd.log I'm noticing the warning below.

I made sure that db/sphinx/production is writable by the user running searchd and the Web user.

Delta indexing seems to be working as expected.

Any thought on what might be causing it?

Hi Ethan

It looks like you're storing index files within each app release, which is not ideal - not sure if that's the cause of it, but that's where I'd start. I'd recommend changing the location to a shared directory instead. The setting is searchd_file_path, as covered in the deployment docs:
