I ma using  "ts-datetime-delta" gem for my incremental indexing.

It says that it will use the updated_at column.

In defining my index, i have used fields from the associated models also, so if the values in those table will change, then while running my raketask for incremental indexing it will be considered or only the current model updated_at will be looked into(as this may not have been updated but the associated class field may have updated).

Only the indexed model's updated_at column is taken into account, I'm afraid.

However, you could look at using Rails' :touch option - I'm not sure if this fires callbacks, though.
