We are looking for an experienced PACS Administrator to support and manage enterprise medical imaging environments, including PACS migration and imaging workflow support within a healthcare ecosystem.
🔹 What is PACS?
PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) is the core imaging platform
used in hospitals to:
- Store medical images (X-ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, etc.)
- Distribute and display imaging for radiologists and clinicians
- Integrate imaging systems with RIS and EHR platforms (Epic/Cerner)
PACS is the backbone of the medical imaging workflow.
🔹 Key
Responsibilities:
✅ PACS System Administration
- Configure, maintain, and support PACS applications
- Manage user access, permissions, and security
- Monitor system performance, uptime, and storage
✅ Imaging Workflow Support
- Support image flow from modalities → PACS → radiologist workstations
- Troubleshoot image routing/display issues
- Support radiologists, technologists, and clinicians
✅ Integrations & Standards
- Work with DICOM and HL7 standards
- Support integrations with:
- RIS
- EHR systems (Epic/Cerner)
- Imaging modalities (GE, Siemens, Philips)
✅ Projects & Upgrades
- Support PACS migrations/conversions
- Coordinate testing, validation, cutover, and go-live activities
- Work closely with vendors and clinical teams
🔹 Preferred
Experience:
✔️ PACS migration/support experience
✔️ Change Healthcare / Merge Healthcare exposure preferred
✔️ Strong understanding of:
- DICOM
- HL7
- Enterprise Imaging
- Radiology workflows
✔️ Experience in hospital or
healthcare environments
✔️ Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
