We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4 HANA Functional Consultant with deep
expertise in Finance (FI/CO) modules and proven experience in upgrading from
SAP ECC to SAP S/4 HANA. The ideal candidate will have participated in at
least one full-cycle S/4 HANA upgrade project and possess extensive
functional knowledge across S/4 HANA. This role requires strong collaboration
with Controllership and Finance stakeholders, as well as technical teams,
ensuring seamless integration and delivery of finance transformation
initiatives.

1.
The S/4HANA Migration Expert
- Experience:
Must have at least 10–12+ years in SAP, with a clear focus on ECC 6.0 to
S/4HANA Greenfield or Brownfield conversions.
- Key Skill:
Someone who understands the Universal Journal (ACDOCA) and the
architectural changes between ECC Finance and S/4HANA Finance.
- Project Count:
Look for candidates who explicitly list "Go-Live" experience
for at least one full-cycle upgrade.
2.
The Finance & Controllership Liaison
- Background:
Candidates who have worked directly with Controllers, CFOs, or Finance
Directors.
- Functional
Depth: Deep knowledge of General Ledger (GL), Accounts
Payable/Receivable (AP/AR), Asset Accounting (AA), and Controlling (CO).
- Preferred
Industry: Given the "Preferred Qualifications," profiles
coming from Banking, Insurance, or Financial Services will be the
strongest matches.
3.
The Integration Specialist (Technical-Functional Hybrid)
- ABAP
Awareness: While this is a functional role, the ideal profile knows
enough ABAP to guide technical teams and understands how to integrate
with Ariba and Concur.
- Advanced
Modules: Target profiles that mention Group Reporting or Project Systems
(PS), as these are listed as "Preferred Qualifications."
Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities

1. Lead and support SAP ECC to S/4 HANA upgrade projects, focusing on Finance
(FI/CO) modules.
2. Drive functional design, configuration, and testing for S/4 HANA Finance
processes.
3. Collaborate with Controllership and Finance teams to gather requirements
and translate business needs into functional specifications.
4. Work closely with technical teams to ensure proper integration and
solution delivery.
5. Prepare functional specifications, oversee development, and perform unit
and integration testing.
6. Provide guidance on best practices for S/4 HANA Finance processes and
ensure compliance with organizational standards.
7. Support data migration, validation, and reconciliation activities during
upgrade.
8. Deliver training and documentation for end-users and stakeholders.
9. Participate in cutover planning and go-live support.
Required Qualifications
- Deep SAP S/4
HANA FI/CO functional knowledge and S/4 HANA upgrade experience
- Experience
with at least one full cycle ECC to S4 Hana upgrade project
- Communicate
effectively with team members, management, and product owners
- Excellent
verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to

direct and train other team associates
- Exceptional
documentational skills with standard tools for data flows, like Visio,
PowerPoint, etc.
