2 folders in /etc when installed via apt-get

Hi all, I've noticed 2 folders pop-up in /etc after apt-get install thin, on ubuntu server 14.04

/etc/thin1.9.1/ 

/etc/thin2.0/

But when I run thin -v 

I get this:

# thin -v

thin 1.3.1 codename Triple Espresso

# which thin

/usr/bin/thin

Can somebody explain to me why is it like this?
