TG vừa nhận thêm tin vui, Phim Master Hoa's Requiem vừa được chọn vào vòng chung kêt tại  Đại Hội Điện Ảnh Big As Texas Short Film Festival Năm 2015 tại Austin Texas và Đại Hội Điện Ảnh DisOrient Asian American Film Festival tại Eugene, Oregon vào tháng 4, 2015. Như thế, Master Hoa's Requiem đã được chọn là:

1.  Phim Tài liệu hay nhất trong Mùa Thu 2014 Master Hoa's Requiem tại Đại hội Điện Ảnh Asian On Film (AOF), 28 tháng 3, 2015 tại Los Angeles, California

2. Chọn vào vòng chung kết tại Đại Hội Điện Ảnh The Thin Line Film Festival, 19 tháng 2, 2015 tại Denton, Texas.

3. Chọn vào vòng chung kết tại Đại Hội Điện Ảnh Nacogdoches Film Festival, 26 tháng 2, 2015 tại Nacogdoches, Texas.

4. Chọn vào vòng chung kết tại Đại Hội Điện Ảnh Big As Texas Short Film Festival, tháng 12, 2015 tại Austin, Texas.

5. Chọn vào vòng chung kết tại Đại Hội Điện Ảnh DisOriented Film Festival, ngày 17-19, tháng 4, Và 2015 tại Eugene, Oregon

Hi, Scott -

Congratulations! "Master Hoa's Requiem" has been selected as an Official Selection into the 2015 Big As Texas Short Film Festival!

The festival will take place in December 2015 in Austin, Texas. 

Hopefully you read through the (Yes, I know it's long) rules on FilmFreeway, because as it mentions - not all selections will be screened at the festival. We simply don't have the time in our debut festival to show every official selection. 

That DOES NOT mean we won't screen your film, I'm simply re-communicating our policy.

As filmmakers ourselves, we feel like the more films we can accept and acknowledge, the better it is for everyone. We strive to screen as many as possible. This decision was inspired by a well-known international festival that accepts and awards  many films, but only screens approximately 10% of its winners. 

A filmmaker's confirmed attendance at the festival will increase the chances of screening. Even though a film may win an award, if the filmmakers are not in attendance, it may not get programmed over an official selection with filmmakers in attendance.

Your film will be eligible for nominations for its category as well as the craft categories. In addition, you are in the running for Best Texas Film. Those nominations will be sent out much closer to the festival date.

IIf you would please send a link to your trailer as well as a few high res photos, a press kit and a link to a 1080p (or higher) download (Dropbox, vimeo, etc) of the film, I will send the laurels right away..

We may also ask that you send a DVD copy closer to the festival.

Congratulations!  “Master Hoa’s Requiem” is an official selection for DisOrient 2015.  I am sharing the news with you early before official notices.  We are very proud to be able to screen your film during the DisOrient Asian American Film Festival of Oregon for our 10^th Anniversary.  It would be appreciated if you could please hold off on public announcements for just a few weeks.

 

Details will be forwarded, so stay tuned.  Would you know if you will have any cast/crew in attendance during April 17-19? If you can respond with a “Yes,” “No,” or “Maybe,” it will be very helpful  with  scheduling.  I am assessing our Q&A times with a very full program.
