Iam currently staying on version 522 and everything is stable. Updated to the latest version and there were crashes after 10 minutes. I had to roll back to 522. I hope this will be fixed in the future

As I remember, I could play the game for around one whole hour yesterday before it became freezing, and after I took the advice of updating to the latest NVIDIA version, it decreasd to 15-30 mins. Holy shti.

I just got after effects today, and I have been following the tutorials. The issue is, the app keeps crashing every few minutes and it's becoming really irritating, especially as I lose all the progress from what I was working on. My laptop is a HP Pavilion Laptop 15-cc6xx, i7 intel core processor. Is it too weak, or am I doing something wrong? Thank you in advance!

Did AE throw up one or more error message(s) just before/when it crashed? What are these messages? Were there other strange happenings with the UI before each crash? Which GPU are you using - this is quite important as a fair bit of issues with AE, lately, seem related to poor quality GPUs. And which tutorial, specifically, are you trying to redo? It should be obvious there are 'heavy', demanding tutorials as well as less taxing ones out there - it'll be good to know what you were actually working on/with and whether you have tried working or a tutorial/task that is less demanding on your system.

As Peru Bob has mentioned, this seems to be a performance related issue. Regardless, the way AE handles the issue by freezing, followed by a crash; without any error message(s), is not an elegant way with which to deal with such an issue. I strongly suggest you send in a Bug Report (see the appropriate link at the top of the AE Forum's main page).

I hop into the F/A 18c in the free flight mission in Caucuses, start heading inland at below 2000 feet and I will get black flickers on my screen. These flickers will intensify and then my normal desktop will show, with DCS on the taskbar and the crash report thing pops up.

Do you have the Corsair iCUE software installed? Recent testimonies showed it could lead DCS to this kind of crash. If you have it, close it before playing and see if your crashes keep happening.

One thing to note, I am seeing 15-20 less fps with the exact same graphics settings as before, no problem tho as I only have a GTX1060, and can only expect such performance. (mostly high settings and 40-50fps.) I'll fiddle around and see what I can figure out.

Now on to the crashes, after a new Saved Games\DCS folder, if I leave the graphics setting at their default (mostly low) I can fly for 30 minutes maybe a bit longer then some black flashes will start, not many and they will not intensify. DCS will not crash, but once every 20 seconds or so I will get a black flash. This only happens when flying low, under 2000 feet, when cruising around at 25'000 feet no flashes whatsoever.

With a new Saved Games\DCS folder, setting my graphics to where I like them (mostly high) game will crash after 15-20 minutes of low flying. When the flashes start and I get up to 25'000 feet, they stop and game will not crash.

I set my graphics setting to my preferred settings, fly around fairly low and take note of my fps. When the flashes start I exit DCS, go to NVidia control panel, and set my max fps to approx 5 less than what I had in DCS. In my case I set it to max 45fps, this so far, has not caused a crash or any black flashes. I did however go and enable the G-Sync compatible setting for my screen, just to make the 45fps look/feel better.

After letting DCS make a new Saved Games\DCS folder, game will not crash until 20-30 minutes of low level flying. (Low level is more demanding on gpu) After the 1st crash, game will crash with only 1-2 minutes of low level flying. This I can reproduce consistently.

It doesn't matter which graphics setting is where, if my gpu will be running over 95%, I will get the black flashes followed by a crash. Currently I am limiting my gpu usage by setting a max frame rate, and that works, however with draw backs. If I fly up high its nice to have the 80+fps, but if I cap fps for low level, I cannot enjoy the higher fps at higher altitude.

I immediately ran the heaven benchmark and it almost made it through the benchmark test. At scene 24 of 26 mostly green flashes appeared and benchmark closed down with no error message. Haven't had this issue with benchmark before.

Looks like it could be a hardware issue here, I wonder if its the PSU not giving enough power or the GPU starting to die. Both are approx 4 years old, and have run without any problems whatsoever. Why it started to happen after the update to 2.7.2 I don't know.

Another thing that I noticed right away, there is virtually no stuttering now, I would get the occasional stutter here and there, only time it really bothered me was during air-to-air re-fueling or the 5 seconds prior to touching down on the carrier. I get 50 fps flying low, and 80+ up high, with the settings I set in MSI Afterburner I would say I am getting 2-3 fps less, but I don't notice it, in fact without the stutters it feels smoother.

I think I'll leave voltages and frequencies alone for now. I just don't understand enough of it. DCS is remarkably smoother than its ever been for me, to get these frames in DCS with an entry level graphics card I've always thought is pretty amazing. Now with virtually no stutter, AAR and carrier landing got much easier, I got nothing to complain about.

DCS has such a great community. I have played lots of Battlefield, and way too much Counter Strike (CSGO). CSGO I had to completely quit because of its community, almost seems like it brings out the worst in people. Battlefield I played for the planes & jets, but after DCS it feels pointless for me.

The problem started when my Roku Ultra 4670X updated its firmware from 12.0.0 to 12.5.0 Build 4178-46 last night. This update caused problems with the Gen4 Tablo app. When viewing a live channel after about 2-1/2 to 3 minutes the App crashes back to the Roku Home Screen.

So to get the TV working again, I have temporarily re-installed my Dual Lite and am using the Legacy Tablo App for now. There are no problems and Tablo Legacy App works perfectly with the Roku 12.5.0 firmware.

Rebooting the Tablo did not clear the issue, nor did the reset button.

Restarting the Roku did not clear the issue.

Removing and reinstalling the Tablo app on the Roku did not resolve the issue.

I had the issue suddenly start a couple of months ago. I did all of the reboots, restarts and reinstalls to no avail. Everything came back life after I removed power from the Roku for 10 minutes and reconnected it. Been working ever since.

I unpowered the Roku and waited 20 minutes to restart. I also had to reinstall my Gen4 Tablo. So I updated the guide first and then watched the same live channel that previously caused the Tablo app to crash.

For some reason my Emergency 4 keeps crashing after I try to play it, I've never had this problem before.

Mods:

Mayberry Mod v1.4.1

West Coast Canada Modification

This doesn't happen when I first start the game, It just happens after a few minutes, even if I haven't started a world.

Everything appears to have loaded fine but that makes sense seeing that you can play for a few minutes before crashing. I can't see any errors anywhere that can help but if someone else takes a look they may find something I missed.

Looking @ your logfile my best guess is that you're running out of resources thus the game is terminating unexpectedly.. The question since I see you've got two mods installed, likely you're using the Canadian one during that logfile is this: Does the game behave the same way with lighter/easier load mods like the original LA mod, does it behave the same way with the original default game? If you are experiencing crashes after X minutes with everything, even the default game then you probably need to reduce the game settings further. If it is with specific mods, they are likely unoptimized and are causing memory consumption to be irregularly high, or have something causing a memory leak.

As I asked before have you tried running the default game or something like Hoopah's LA mod (unaltered) to see if it still crashes after a specific duration. Your comp has an integrated chipset (amd). I had a similar chipset on one of my laptops and it ran the game, albeit lighting was prone to causing lag. Until you have either tried the default game and/or LA mod or similar low-demand spec mod I cannot speak further for your situation.

Looking @ your DX diag your machine has a total of 6 gigs ram, of which roughly 5.6 is available for the os to start with, your video card "dedicated" memory is the missing portion of the 6 gigs... Your OS will consume around 1 gig it's self just for the normal operation of the system at a minimum. Leaving around 4.6 gigs +/- for programs/operations.. But realize your video card has the ability to consume more of the physical memory if it is similar to the AMD chipset I had previously, so it is possible it is consuming more memory for the video card than the "dedicated" 500 mb or so it takes off the bat.

Whatever is left after that, would be around (ballparking) 3 gigs can go to the video card, 1 gig for the system run, leaving 2 gigs for the game and other applications to run on if the video card chews all that it can. Make sure that when trying to play the game you shut down any anti-viruses you have running on your machine, some of them will try to check the game as it runs (because it runs scripts) and that can cause excessive resource consumption. But ultimately, the computer is not ideal for gaming, so try the things I've suggested above before I can even consider any other alternatives you may try. Obviously, make sure the computer is set to "high performance" for it's power setting and not power saver or balanced as they will reduce the available power to the machine.
