Something that can give you such a headache, like subtitles that are out-of-sync, can be fixed from the main window of the program by simply adjusting the time that you'd like to delay or advance the subtitles (down to the millisecond).

Hi guys, I have started using subtitle edit recently to add subtitles, I was able to add single line subtitle but is it possible to add multiple subtitles freely at any position I want it to be using subtitle edit at a particular time frame? For example, I want to add multiple subtitles from 00:05 - 00:20 in my video where one subtitle is on the left, another is on the right and one on the bottom.
I'm using Subtitle Edit to make subtitles for a video, it is supposed to let the user choose between several video engines, one of them is VLC. I can only choose DirectShow since the other options are disabled. I have installed the latest version of both programs and the LAV splitters, nothing seems to be working. I'd appreciate some help.

7.2.5 Spot Duration All Subtitle instances as defined In SMPTE ST 428-7 should have a minimum duration of 15 frames with a minimum duration of 2 frames between Subtitle instances. @kIERO What were you trying to do when you got this error? SubtitleEdit is supposed to use /.config/Subtitle Edit for its working directory (e.g. for saving waveforms) and only use /opt/subtitleedit as a read-only storage for its internal stuff (i.e. the files that come with the package itself), so what you're describing sounds like a potential bug to me.

Important: The only exception to this rule are the paid translations. Where the translated subtitles are stored on my server for upto seven days from the date of translation. Poodll Subtitle is a subtitle editor for audio and video files in Moodle. Simply select the link or player for the audio or video file and click the Poodll Subtitle icon. The media and any existing subtitles will load. Add and edit subtitles, and when ready press the save button. The subtitle file will be saved in the HTML area.
When the audio/video is selected, and you click on the Poodll Subtitle icon, the subtitle editor will display. If subtitles are already present, they will load. If not the subtitle area will be empty. The subtitle editor can be resized by dragging on it's lower right corner.
Not all video players can play subtitles, and most audio players cannot. The Poodll filter has a range of video players and some audio players that can. Poodll video and audio players will display subtitles IF the video or audio was embedded as a media link.
The Moodle multi media plugins filter in Moodle defaults to using Video JS for audio and video. Moodle's Video JS player will display subtitles for video and audio IF the video or audio was embedded as a media player.
