December Garden Club Meeting on Monday, December 11th

Dear Garden Club Members,

Our next meeting will be Monday, December 11th at 7:00 p.m. at the St. B's parish house 

We will have two fun activities at this meeting, you may participate in both or either.

We will begin with a Cookie Exchange.  Please bring your favorite Christmas  cookie (or just your favorite anytime cookie).  Each person participating will bring a certain number  (for instance 2 or 3 dozen) of one kind of cookie and an empty container for taking cookies home.  The cookies will all be placed on a table and those who are participating can walk around and around the table, gathering some of each kind of cookie to take home.  Each person will leave with an assortment of cookies.  Latex gloves will be provided for sanitary purposes.  If you plan to participate in the cookie exchange, please respond to Daphne Cover at daphn...@gmail.com so she can be in touch with final instructions.

We will also make Christmas arrangements at this meeting.  These arrangements can be taken home to decorate your own abode or you can leave them behind and they will be taken to a local nursing home to decorate the nurse's stations.  Please bring your own container to take home or to donate.  Also, please bring your own pair of garden shears and if you have some nice greens in your yard that you are willing to trim, please bring holly or evergreen branches to share. The club will provide some oasis, carnations, ribbon and a few decorative picks to put in the arrangements but you are invited to bring any materials you may want to use or share as well.

Anyone who wants to bring some festive treats to share is also welcome to do so.  Paper goods will be provided.

I’m sorry I won’t be able to attend tomorrow’s meeting because I’ll be at my granddaughter’s dance recital.  It sounds deliciously fantastic. Hope to see all of you at the next meeting.
