Good afternoon everyone,

Happy Election Day,

I am trying to keep my stress level down by paying attention to my To Do list!

As I mentioned last week, there will be a meeting of the Garden Club next Monday evening, Nov. 11th at 6:30 p.m.  We will be meeting at the St. Bartholomew's Parish House, 4711 Edmondson Ave.

We have a wonderful speaker for our meeting-  Devra He'ui Kitterman, she is the retired owner of He'ui Horticultural Services.  For 27 years her company provided professional interior and exterior plant design and maintenance, exterior landscape design and maintenance.  She is also a Baltimore City beekeeper, habitat oriented landscape designer and public educator.

Fellow beekeeper and Ten Hills resident, Bill Castro, suggested Devra as a speaker and says "I HIGHLY recommend my friend Devra Kitterman to do a presentation for the group. Devra is an expert landscaper and pollinator plant person."

Since this is our first meeting of the year, we will have a short business meeting to discuss future meetings and to collect dues. Dues are $25 per for individuals and $40 for couples.

The tentative plan for the December meeting is to gather on December 9th to make small holiday arrangements to take home or to share with shut-ins.

Meeting Schedule
6:30 p.m.   Gather for conversation and food  (please bring a dish to share if you can)
6:55 p.m.  Short business meeting
7:15 p.m.  Speaker
8:30 p.m.  Adjourn

If you have any questions, please call or text me at (410) 440-0342.

Thanks,

Daphne Cover
President, Ten Hills Garden Club

Good question Barbara,  I think we can say heavy snacks.  People should bring whatever they want that is easy for them.

Beverages are also welcome.  I will make sure that there are adequate paper goods for food and drinks.

Thanks for asking,

Daphne

Does "a dish" mean that this is a potluck dinner? Or snacks?
