Hello Garden Club Members, Friends and Neighbors,

We hope everyone had a lovely holiday and a healthy January.  And that any of us recovering are now back to tiptop.

Please plan to join us on Monday, February 12, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. at St. Bartholomew's for the first 2024 meeting of Ten Hills Garden Club.

Agenda:

7:00 --  General Meeting
                Treasurer's Report
                Election of officers

Presentation:  What's the Rush? by Doug Tallemy.
Watch  a fascinating presentation facilitated by Marilyn Trimmel on species and non-native plant loss through habitat loss . Hear and learn the importance of these species to support both  humans and wildlife. The presentation emphasizes how even the smallest efforts build habitat   especially across neighborhoods.  Such efforts can lead to a neighborhood getting on the map of homegrown national parks.

Please feel free to invite anyone interested in attending,  and RSVP to daphn...@gmail.com

If you have any questions, please give Daphne a call at (410) 440-0342.

See you soon,

Daphne Cover, President
Sandy Woodcock, Vice-President
Marilyn Trimmel, Treasurer/Secretary

I’ll be skiing in Colorado so will miss the meeting and Marilyn’s presentation. Amy Stump from the Leakin Park Gwynn Falls Association contacted me about native trees that she can acquire for the Trolley Garden. Intend to meet with her and a city representative in March at the TG to discuss. Already expressed an interest in Blackgum, Sweetgum, Hornbeam that could be available. I’ve tagged multiple native saplings already growing there, many of which would need to be transplanted for proper spacing once some site prep work has occurred.  Have a good meeting. Jeff

Hi Everyone,

This is a reminder about our Garden Club meeting at St. B's Monday evening at 7:00.  Scroll down to the email sent on Feb. 3rd for details.

I hope that everyone can come because we have an important meeting planned.  We will begin by discussing new officers and
if no one steps up this could lead into a discussion of the future of our organization.  We need you to be present so your voice can be heard.

After the business part of our meeting, we will have our program which includes a presentation of a video by Doug Tallemy.

I haven't had any RSVPs (except for Jeff) but it would be helpful to know who plans to attend.

Please RSVP to me at daphn...@gmail.com

Thanks,  Daphne
