Hi Everyone,

I am looking forward to seeing many of you this evening.

In the meantime, the following request was sent to me this afternoon.

If anyone can help Tom, please contact him directly.  His contact information is below his signature.

Thanks,

Daphne

Hi Daphne,

I'm looking to get some fiddlehead ferns for a shady spot in my backyard. Would you know, or would some of the nice members of this gardening club know a good place to acquire them?

Thanks very much,

-tom

I know a secret (small) stash along the base of a hiking trail in Patapsco Park, but I won't say which one, because that would be ILlegal!!

Can one start fiddleheads from seeds?

Have you contacted one of the big nurseries, such as Sun Nursery?

I remember them fondly from my days on a Danish potato farm in Canada............ate 'em as frequently as people eat broccoli!

My sister also picks/eats them in central Maine highlands.........

YUM!

DUH, me!..........of course, fiddleheads are ferns...........so "growing from seeds" is, obviously, not the correct term!
