Hello everyone,
I am sending this to both google groups until I am sure everyone is on the right list........
This is a reminder that the June meeting of the Ten Hills Garden Club will be held not tomorrow on our usual 2nd Monday, but instead on MONDAY, JUNE 19th.
The meeting will be a garden walk/tours in Catonsville
AND a plant exchange. The tours will include some gardens we
saw last year and some new ones.
Our starting point will be Janet McGlynn's house, 1002 Magruder
Ave, not far from the Catonsville Post Office. There is plenty of
street parking.
To allow time for the most garden viewing, early birds can start
from 1002 Magruder Ave as early as 5 or 5:15 pm. The official
start time is 5:30 pm. There will be slightly shorter tours for
those who must arrive after 5:30. We will finish garden touring by
about 7:15 and have pot luck dinner at Janet's house.
As with last year's Catonsville tour, there will be
houses/gardens in each direction from the start point. Janet will
provide a map, addresses, and advice on which route(s) to take and
send us out in small groups. Wine may be involved. You should have
flexibility to visit quite a few gardens and to pick those of
greatest interest to you.
For those who wish to limit their walking, there will be several
gardens within a block and several that are a short drive with
good parking and no steps to go up or down.
This is a great time of year to trade plants (indoor and
outdoor), seeds, and plant supplies. Bring whatever you want to
give away. All items will be placed in the front yard where
everyone can see them while coming and going. Hopefully, you will
go home with something new for your garden.
