What a gift to see the big white ball reflecting on the snow patches
of the peaks around Howe Sound?
December is upon us, and so is another update of studio happenings, an
upcoming 'PASS SPECIAL!' and studio closures for the holidays.
PASS SPECIAL!
On sale for one-week only, Dec 9-16th, we will sell 20-pass class
cards for $180 (only $9/class). These passes will expire June 1st, so
you will have almost 6 months to use them up. Drop by and give
yourself a gift, or gift someone else the space and time of a
consistent yoga practice.
HOLIDAY CLOSURES:
The yoga studio co-operative will be closed Dec 22nd - Jan 2nd,
inclusive.
December Studio Happenings:
1. Body-working (rolfing and fascial release) workshop is being held
this Sunday Dec 2nd from 9-5 pm. Email Sarah at
theyogastu...@gmail.com if you are interested. This workshop
has been organized by my friend and teacher, Gioia Irwin, and there
are a few remaining places for anyone interested in joining.
2. Annie is teaching a Yoga Nidra workshop on Sunday Dec 16th, 8-10
am. Learn the gifts of this ancient practice of restorative sleep and
rest. Understand the benefits and experience a long guided practice.

3. Annie is teaching a Slo-mo ball workshop next Saturday December
8th, 4-6 pm. This workshop is full, please contact Annie with
questions about the next one.
January Studio Happenings. (please see website for a revised schedule
between Jan 2nd and Jan 5th)
1. Friday January 3rd - 5:30 - 7:30 pm. NEW YEARS CLASS. Set an
intention for another year, bring community together, share in the
beautiful co-operative space - together. An all levels class taught
by Sarah & Annie including a long guided relaxation with yoga nidra.
Class passes apply or $20 drop-in.
2. Tuesday Morning 6-week registered course - 'Finding Ease in the
Neck and Shoulders' - with Sarah, begins Tuesday January 22nd. 7-8:15
am. $75. Explore gliding and sliding of the shoulder blades around
the ribcage, create breath freedom in your diaphragm & lungs, soften
the jaw, release holding patterns in the neck that encourage reduced
stress in the eyes and the brain. Join to explore and greet the early
morning hours, in community, together. Email

3. Thursday Evenings 6-week registered course - 'Upside-down Play!' -
Expand and build an inversion practice, consistently. Begins Thursday
Jan 17th, 5:30 - 7:00 pm. $75 This course will begin with a standing
flow and inversion exploration/preparation/play. We will build
awareness about weight-bearing on the head/shoulders/hands,
maintaining supportive ease through the shoulder girdle and smiling in
our bellies, even when we are upside down. We'll take a light-hearted
approach, with partner exercises, flow, quietness, rest and self-luv.
Bring a curiosity for exploration and a willingness to let go.
4. Sarah Pidutti will return to The Yoga Studio Co-op for 2-days of
continuum practice in January. More information soon - save the
weekend of Jan 18-20th, times and dates will be on the website this
week.
