Hi all,  hope you're enjoying this lovely sunshine.

Just wanted to tell you that, with much encouragement from Jo and her have-you-sent-it-yet emails, I hopped on the Choc Lit bandwagon and submitted my synopsis.  Luckily for me they mailed back a day later and asked for the whole ms, which I have just sent.

I've got other submissions in the pipeline for this one, including as you know the full which is with Broo Docherty.  Again, with Jo sitting on my shoulder (ouch!) I mailed her Friday asking her if she could update me on the current state of play.  No reply as yet.

Jo, and everyone else, thanks for all the encouragement and the go-on-just-do-its!  Have no idea whether what I wrote will fit with the Choc Lit brand but I may as well cover all angles, like you do...

Have a great time at the conference, those going.  I can't wait to hear how it all went especially the interviews!

Hi Deirdre, Lynne and Everyone

Very pleased to hear that Deirdre has completed her subs and chasing, but weighed myself today and, trust me, you wouldn't want me sitting on your shoulder! Thanks for your kind words, though, Lynne and Deirdre :-). Here's hoping for some good news soon.

I am into week 19 with Choc Lit now... Can't decide if that's a good thing or not and wonder if they've already sent the "thanks, but no thanks" and I have just missed the email somehow. Anyway, I am not going to chase until after I get back from Florida, which will take me past the five month mark they gave me and almost up to the 6 months on their website. Should also get some news from my full in with Harper Impulse by then too. I won't have time to do anything with it before then anyway.

Anyone else have subs in? Don't know whether to put on my NWS form that I want feedback by email, in case that and any publisher rejections put a dampener on my hols! Good luck to Deirdre, with your subs, and Alex with your NWS sub and anyone else I've missed.

Trapped a nerve in my shoulder and I have been given morphine, so please forgive any typpos or waffling!

Jo X

Hi Jo,
So sorry to hear about the trapped nerve. My friend had one in her back, so I understand how painful it can be. I hope it improves for you. I am sure there was something on Romna a while back about waiting times for choc lit. Someone said they waited at least seven months before receiving a reply. It sounds as though it could be true, seeing that you have been waiting so long.
I do have some good news, I have just returned from my weigh in, and I have lost another two pounds. In total that is ten and a half pounds. Mind I have yet to go to the conference, so not sure which way it will go!
See you all soon.
