I recently installed CIVIL 3D 2023. when i try to run PVX_RIBBON_FIX in order to load Plex Earth, CAD does not recognize the command, therefore i cannot run PE in CAD 2023. Both the ribbon command and PE run in CIVIL 3D 2021, so the software seems to be correct. i have uninstalled and reinstalled plex earth and no change. i have uninstalled 2023 Civil 3D and no change. Has anyone had this issue and know of a potential fix?

Everything I've seen has pointed toward needing to install Plex Earth 2023, reading on Plex Earth's website, it only lists 2022 as the max version compatible with 5D. Its a little surprising that their tech support has not pointed that out.

I mainly use it for importing and exporting imagery these days. The customor service is always really good. Whenever I have a question it is answered within one business day and resloved promptly and professionaly. They really look after their customers.

Plex.Earth gives me the options to use different maps as well, not just Google Earth. I know I'm not using it to the fullest potential. It saves me time from trying to import and scale the imagery myself, which helps me turn my jobs around quickly for my clients. Definatley pays for itslef in no time.

I've had a few issues with the program and Tech Support has always helped me through it. They will follow up on things until the issue is resolved. Hands down one of my favorite apps for importing aerial imagery into CAD and the support is top noch.

I am using Plex.Earth since over 4 years now. The results I get from Plex.Earth are always very satisfactory. Software covers many functions, which could be potentially done by several other tools, under one roof. Importing - Exporting KML files, shapes to and from Google Earth, Impoting Terrain for preliminary terrain analysis, generating surfaces from points or contours and importing imagery are my favortie most used functions.

For the work that we are doing, Plex.Earth has been a huge help getting clean images to work with. Many times the built in Bing maps AutoCAD uses would be out of date or the imagery blurry, and using PE we have been able to circumvent this delay and had a quality image as reference. Easy to use too!

It's a great tool to use and to have. the power of this tool is to set up a high definition 3D proposal which projects a highly detailed model at once. The great feature in this app is the workflow which makes it so easy to use. PlexEarth thank you so so much for such great tool.

PlexEarth is the ideal solution to getting quick, yet attractive, imagery into a drawing when using civil 3D, all you need is Google Earth and PlexEarth does the rest with a few on-screen selections. I have not looked back, the days of first downloading the image and then importing into a drawing, then applying a coordinate transformation, and finally referencing the transformed drawing to overlay the image, are long gone.

Our CAD Department was excited to get a Nearmap subscription for high definition aerial backgrounds for remote projects that did not have the budget to get topograpgical surveys. The process of bringing these georeferenced images into Autocad was quite invoved and included several steps. With Plex.earth 4, this is now accomplished with a few simple mouse clicks. For areas that Nearmap doesn't cover, the google earth image process is just as valuable, saving much time and generating georeferenced images that weren't available before.

V4 is very easy to navigate. I do a lot of high res mosaics...the process and downloads are very easy and fast, significantly better U/I than version 3. Definitely worth the upgrade. I find many software "updates" are painful changes from what you learned how to use. V4 here makes things much better. Well done Plex.earth team!

Overall this is a really good app and the support is phenomenal. My only issue is that I can't get high resolution images from Google Earth when I do the "Image From Current View" command. Images are fuzzy, I always have to save an image directly from Google Earth Pro and import that one into AutoCAD and align it to the image Plex.Earth imported. The only support I got from Plex.Earth on the issue was to watch some YouTube video, which wasn't very useful.

Hello Andy, "Image from Current View" does indeed only allow you to import a single image into AutoCAD and as this is static it can appear fuzzy in AutoCAD when you zoom into it. While saving its high-res counterpart from Google Earth and replacing it is an option, by far the easiest way to import high resolution imagery is to use Plex.Earth's "Create Mosaic" command. This creates a grid of images, each one captured at the current Google Earth zoom level, so the more you zoom in Google Earth before creating the mosaic the more images you will import and the better the overall resolution will be. Our company has been using PlexEarth for over 3 years now and have nothing but wonderful things to say about the product and the support staff. As our client demands have changed, the support team has adapted to our needs and created solutions to our problems. I am continually amazed with the response time from the PlexEarth support staff with any questions or concerns (especially Andreas Bavas). We would absolutely recommend this product to any user who is looking to generate a variety of background maps and for easy importing/zooming/exporting of information out of AutoCAD. Thanks again, you guys are great!

I have been using this product for over a year and it is awesome ! Just renewed for a 2nd year. Great customer support and the price is a bargain. We use aerial photo images for backgrounds on allot of our drawings and Plex.Earth makes this procedure extremely easy. Highly recommend !

I've used it for several years (when Civil3D abandoned GoogleEarth functionality), and I'm very happy with it. My one complaint in previous versions was that the app couldn't read the existing projection of the DWG file, and had to be set separately, but this is no longer an issue. Great app, great customer service, and it just works.

This app is great if you have to import/export lots of things to and from Autocad and Google Earth. It is fast, works well, and the customer suppport is reallly great. Andreas has responded to all of my questions within MINTUES. Really amazing. Thanks again for the awesome app

1. It works as expected, generating KML files quickly (even without reading any tutorials.)2. It integrates with Google Earth for easy positioning. 3. Great support and response to a customization request.Overall, I highly recommend this plugin.

Hi Gary. Thanks for your feedback and please accept our apologies for the bad experience you had. Even though we consider this to only be an unfortunate moment and this characterization is unfair for the quality of our product and the efforts of our whole team, we are sure that in the end you are simply looking for the best toolsets in the market to do your job efficiently. Since it was not possible to track a communication with our support team (we guarantee a reply within 12 hours for all the message received and typically respond within the first hour), we will contact you directly to resolve the problem (we can also connect through TeamViewer) and try to convince you that Plex.Earth is what you are looking for.

I could identify the location of the location on Google Earth in seconds. Amazingly, the software could make the transformation of the local reference system projection in WGS 84 and then load on Google Earth.Extremely helpful, small in size, the best so far.

I work in the oil & gas industry and we were looking for a plug-in that could allow mapping and Google Earth integration both in Civil 3D and plain AutoCAD.After spending several days testing every alternative, I concluded that this is, by far, the most professional, with the best customer support (congrats!) and straightforward solution that allowed me to do anything I needed in my project. Not only the best result in mosaic accuracy and quality, but exporting is fabulous. Every drill is in its place now! Congrats guys!Dave

Thank you very much for your feedback! We would like to address some of the issues that have been pointed out in the messages so far, to provide users with a better understanding of the situation.

Regarding the use of Google Earth 7:Plex.Earth supports Google Earth Pro (all versions, including v7) and any version of the free Google Earth, prior to v7. Unfortunately in this latest release of the free application it is not possible to disable the terrain, which leads to major inaccuracies when importing images. To address this issue and expand capabilities, Plex.Earth 3 has introduced a built-in Map Explorer that can connect to Bing Maps, USGS or any other WMS and is also significantly faster, compared to Google Earth, when creating mosaics. Note that importing terrain, digitizing elements and publishing your drawing as KML/KMZ files can still be done with any version of Google Earth.Regarding the two-week free trial:We feel that this time period is sufficient for any user to explore all the functionality of our software. If, however, the trial session has expired before you had time to fully evaluate Plex.Earth, you can contact us directly at sup...@plexscape.com and we will be glad to extend it for you.Looking forward to more of your comments! The Plexscape Team
