Nahdarash the goblin put her hands up to her face, groaned loudly and called her father out to the field.

"Daaaaaaad..."

"What?" grumbled Kazkan the farmer, leaning out from the farmhouse kitchen door with a glass of apple wine in his hand.

"You're going to want to see this," his daughter replied, with an air of tired resignation. "They're up to something again."

"Pelor's light!" the old goblin exclaimed. "What in the gold-walker's name are they doing now?"

Out in the valley, in the late-evening twilight, a beam of light blazed forth from the forest to the south-east. It looked like some of the trees were on fire. The beam shot out to the east, slicing across the top of the tree canopy, then whipped round, painting a bright white spot onto the tower at Entatratashan. It lurched drunkenly over and pointed up into the sky to the west, before blazing straight up into the heavens.

The old goblin swigged back the last of his wine, put on a coat and marched out of the house.

"Nada - watch the farm. I'm going down to that inn to see what those daft idiots are doing, and give them a piece of my mind..."

...while we're waiting for the party from Sunday's game to report back, Kazkan is at the Lakeside Inn, berating those damn fool adventurers for causing trouble. Who does he find in the inn? Off-duty players, if you want to be in on this, go ahead...
