Hey everyone,

After a bit of discussion with our benevolent DM, I've set up a wiki to
help us all keep track of all the stuff we've learned about the valley
and the plains. It's at:

https://thevalley.boreworms.com/wiki

This is meant as a complement to the google group, not a replacement.
The group is a great place for us to have discussions, schedule
expeditions, tell stories about what out characters did, etc..., but
it's not the best place to keep track of all the bits of knowledge we
collectively found out.

Also, it's not just intended for us players. Ed has suggested he might
use it to put up some pages explaining information about the world and
the cosmology that we should all just know from living in it.

The wiki has been set up as requiring an account to make changes to it,
rather than allowing anyone on the internet to edit it anonymously. If
you want an account, email either me or Ed letting us know your
preferred username. We'll set you up with an account, and you'll get
emailed a temporary password.

It's a bit empty at the moment, but I hope to find the time to fill in
a bunch of stuff over the next week or so. Still, any help would be
appreciated.

Adam - thanks once again for setting this up! I'm going to get my thoughts in order and will post up a "Cosmology 101" entry later in the week :)

I have added some "stub" pages on Klippika and Klippika village, and amended the "Plains" page to include a reference to Riverglade (the gnomish village near Entatratashan). I'll add that promised "Cosmology" page soon, honest. But not at after one in the morning on a worknight.

Hey everyone!

I've added an "Introduction" page on the wiki, which talks about the world from a (mostly) in-game perspective. Find it at https://thevalley.boreworms.com/wiki/Introduction

If any of you have any questions, ask them here on the group and I'll make updates to the introduction where appropriate - I've put in some basics but I'm not sure what people will want to know. I'll also try to incorporate some of the FAQ-type information from the group's welcome post ( https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/thevalleyrpg/O4ttlv0A768 ) but anything to do with game mechanics will go on a separate page of the wiki.

Note that some of the gods of the Dawn War pantheon have been "tweaked" ever so slightly in order to make them fit the world better.

So fellow players (and not DMs), how comprehensive do we want this wiki to be?

I think the general rule with wikis is that they're as comprehensive as anybody wants to bother making them. Does that answer the question?

Yup, whatever you think is relevant, feel free to add it.

I've added a page for the stone spheres - see https://thevalley.boreworms.com/wiki/Stone_Spheres

One of these was recovered from a room below the Temple to Ioun in the woods, during the recent expedition - see https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/thevalleyrpg/6vdFJ1Rh6Tc

I've added a few new page links to the "The Plains" page, if anyone fancies adding some details about Kassiter, Bressel and other recently discovered places.

I think I'm going to restructure this page in the near future so that we can distinguish between nearby places and those that are further away.

I think I might start putting something together about the Builder teleport network, covering what's been found so far.

I've added a quick visual showing the extent of the builder network so far, and some descriptive text about what is at each of the stations. See https://thevalley.boreworms.com/wiki/Builder_Network

Hey folks -

I've made some updates to the wiki over the past couple of days, adding the following entries:

https://thevalley.boreworms.com/wiki/Entaurdeshshan - the teleport station in the cactus ravine, just west of Kassiter
https://thevalley.boreworms.com/wiki/Kassiter - an entry for the dwarven sea port of Kassiter
https://thevalley.boreworms.com/wiki/Duhlmora - an entry for Duhlmora, the last stop on the dwarven caravan route before Klippika (a settlement mentioned by Somoren, in the Quiet Wood)
https://thevalley.boreworms.com/wiki/Qaratta - The Mighty Goblin City of Qaratta
https://thevalley.boreworms.com/wiki/Pelesen - Pelesen, another settlement which roughly translates from Elvish as "The town of children"
https://thevalley.boreworms.com/wiki/The_Children_of_Asteri - a mysterious sect of elves who meddle with things that should be left alone (according to an ancient bard at Klippika)

Hey all.  I've gone a bit nuts and added loads to the Wiki.  Key items:

  1. I've started adding categories to allow us to find stuff.  Eg:
  2. I've updated the front page with links to things to help you find stuff.  Mostly categories
  3. I've been filling out more details of things we've found and discovered that weren't in here.  E.g. noted the towns of Cathor, Tebin, Halda etc.
  4. On the settlements, I've tried to add details of what's near them so we can find our way around.  I.e. Halda is near Crella and Aldorlorna
  5. I've tried to start filling in the teleport links in the builder structures so we can see which ones we know about and which we haven't tried.  I.e. we've got some unexplored links at:
  6. I've made a page with suggestions of what to do next: https://thevalley.boreworms.com/wiki/Possible_Adventures
There's probably loads more in there (it's all I've been doing today... great fun!)

See what I'm missing and add more!

Thanks Kelly!

Just a reminder to everyone - the wiki is readable by anybody but you need an account to edit or update it. If you don't have an account and would like one, let me know.

I had an idea for a category. I think we could have a category for various creatures (hostile or otherwise) we encounter, like the Guardians, various undead and the giant spiders. If this were a computer game, I would call them enemies, but as it is not, I am not sure what to call this hypothetical category.

In the near future I will be updating the wiki to add stuff we found while poking things we shouldn't.

Hey folks - I've updated the "World Timeline" page so that it has a complete listing of all the adventures undertaken so far, as well as all of the various interludes (Strange Lights, Banners and Wagons, etc) which have happened along the way. I hope this helps to paint a better picture of all that has happened so far.

Hey folks - The world of The Valley has a calendar!

Feel free to use it as much or as little as you like, there's an explainer on the wiki to help, if you see references to dates or times of year in write-ups.
