Universal tests for TUF implementations

I am aware that there are actively maintained Python and Go language implementations of TUF. 

My question is if there is a universal testing corpus which ensures that all the implementations are upto the spec.

If there is one (or isn't one) - I would like to contribute to it.

But this has been idle from 4 years. Is there anyone that is working on it? also if there is any working group on this project?
