It's got some features I wish the iPhone had (better camera with zoom and flash, ability to take video) and some will prefer the tactile touchscreen over the iPhone's touchscreen; but the lack of WiFi is a killer for me. Granted, my iPhone is primarily for personal use (I do use it for some business communication, but I don't sync with their email client) so my needs are different than the average business customer. Opinions?

I was really thinking of getting one since I'm stuck with Verizon. But no wi-fi? Come on. If it comes with an un-limited data plan, and if I get good service at my house, it might not be a big deal. But that's a lot of iffiness.

The unlimited data plan with my 1st gen iPhone is only $20 a month; the 3G data plan is a little more (like $10). If the rumors are true that official tethering software (to use the phone as a laptop modem) is coming out you could really put that unlimited data plan to use. I have no idea what Verizon offers, but prior experience says they probably won't allow tethering.

I've used tethering on a Treo I had with Verizon. Their data plan was ridiculous though, I think about $40 a month, and then $10 tethtering.
