So funny!  While they are making fun of Aquaman, he appears to be the hero of the piece from comments from DC.  In fact, the Aquaman issue coming out this week has a Robot Chicken variant cover.  Wild!

Ok, I watched this and it was classic.

I'm curious if Shag saw it and what his thoughts are...I mean Firestorm got his own segment.

I loved the special!  Hilarious!  I feel like Firestorm came out okay during the special. At first he was there for laughs, then he owned it! He took down a Green Lantern... with a banjo!  :)

We enjoyed it so much, my podcast co-host and I recorded a commentary track for the DC Comics Robot Chicken special we'll be releasing next Monday.  One thing that really impressed me was the voice actors.  They had some really impressive guest stars!  Neil Patrick Harris, Nathan Fillion, Steven Tyler (from Aerosmith), Megan Fox, Alfred Molina and a bunch more!

Huh, i would have assumed you would have felt they were making fun of some of your favorite characters...instead of having fun with them.

Sure they were making fun of the characters, but if you can't laugh at the ones you love...  And it was in good fun as one of the writers of the Special is the Chief Creative Officer at DC.  So good times all around.

It just struck me as amusing that RC DC Comics making fun is ok but Big Bang Theory gets under your skin.

I think there is a difference between laughing along with people that are obviously fellow fans and laughing along with the people that, at times, are making fun of you.

So what's the difference Mike? The WRITERS of RC are fans of DC comics and all sorts of other 'geek culture'...so are the writers of BBT, so much so that they incorporate just as much 'geek culture' into the show plus generally accepted science.

Is it because RC is small and 'niche' on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim and not on prime time CBS? That is the only difference i see here.

I just don't see the argument that some folks make that BBT makes fun of geeks. Please don't tell me RC doesn't do the same when in the DC comics special they did the skit with the geek getting the Green Lantern Ring...If you are going to be offended by BBT, be offended by RC.
