Just saw the trailer/ad for the "Society" episode of Smallville...
gotta admit, I'm kinda geeked for this now that I've had a glimpse of
it.... Doctor Fate looks pretty darn cool! Saw Sandman (gas mask &
fedora) and a Green Lantern (Alan Scott style) ring too!

Eeh. Dr Fate and Stargirl look a bit cosplay, and Hawkman could be
even worse if those wings jiggle when he walks.

My first reaction was "WOW!" However, now that I've had a little time, I'm nitpicking. Stargirl's mask is a kinda funky looking, perhaps too bulky. Doctor Fate's body suit looks unusual as Kevlar plating. Hawkman looks perfect, except for the potential fail with the wings.
With all that negativity said, I gotta say I'm impressed they went for superhero costumes (rather than plain clothes). So I guess I'm happy overall, just nitpicking some.

How come the mini crossbow pointed at hawkman's head only has one arm?
Did they CG the crossbow? Good to see Shanks getting work.
I think the mask on Stargirl is big is because it's covering her
entire forehead.
If it was smaller then her hair would have to come down over it all
the time. Maybe they will change the mask or mentioned how big it
looks in the show and she'll change it herself.
What show is this again? Smallville sure has changed.

That mask on Stargirl looks really, really lame. It'd be better, but far
from the comic, if she had no mask at all.
I don't mind the Dr. Fate costume so much. I could care less about
Hawkman; he's lame anyhoo.
