I had heard that Marvel was going to get the Silver Surfer and Galactus rights back in exchange for giving an extension of Daredevil rights.  I'd much rather Marvel be in control of the Surfer and Galactus than Daredevil.  Dang it.

who knows, maybe FF and SS will fall back to Marvel like Daredevil has.... Fox seems to have a lot of "super hero" property and seem to be extremely interested with the "X-Men" movies.

I think i would like to see a Marvel produced Daredevil film before FF, Silver Surfer or any "cosmic" group from Marvel. I have this nagging feeling that a 'cosmic' film form Marvel using Guardians of the Galaxy or even the Surfer would be closer to Green Lantern than to Avengers. I for one don't want to see any more GL based on what DC/Warner put out.

Daredevil can be done kind of gritty and "street" which can make for a good film.

I like Shag's suggestion of DD vs Punisher, but does Marvel have Punisher?  If they do...then i think they should modify the "Avengers Formula" and give DD a stand alone film to establish him, and you give Punisher (another) stand alone film to establish him and then you bring them together in a 3rd film, where they likely first fight each other, second, end up working together for a time, but then realizing they are too different in their methodologies and have to split up and view each other almost as an enemy. Get on that script(s) Kevin Smith!

The Punisher doesn't need another "establishing" film. Honestly, I think the same people who made Punisher War Zone should make a sequel with continued inspiration of Garth Ennis's work. Then, maybe, have a cameo of Daredevil in that sequel, maybe something at the end credits and then do a Punisher/Daredevil film.

haven't seen War Zone but i can understand the reluctance to do ANOTHER Pun establishing film. They only failed 2 times so far.

I hope when you say they failed two times that you are referring to the Dolph Lundgren and Thomas Jane versions. Even though Waz Zone was not a success at the box office I do not consider it a failure as it is closest to the Marvel (Garth Ennis) version so far. I love War Zone because the makers captured the essence of what The Punisher should be, like Ennis did. Dark, gritty, and just plain hardcore. And they got his origin right too.

Thomas Jane deserves another crack at it after the short he made recently....

I like Thomas Jane, but, being a huge fan of The Punisher, it is really difficult for me to see him as Frank Castle, even in that really cool short that came out recently. When they cast Ray Stevenson as Frank Castle In War Zone I thought he was the perfect fit, he had the look of Frank Castle/The Punisher.

If you look at the photo above, even at the briefest of first glance it is almost as if you are seeing the cover of a Garth Ennis issue.
Sorry. I just realized this is a thread hijack discussing more about The Punisher than Daredevil. I'm ready for a Daredevil movie being that the last one was such a disappointment to me.

Don't care for either Daredevil or the Punisher, honestly. Seeing
them in a "Marvel Knights" sort of movie holds no real interest for
me. I would watch a movie with either of them in it but I wouldn't
pay money to see them in the theater at this point in my life.

I gave up on War Zone about 45 minutes into it. It was trying much to
hard to be over the top and came across as artificial and not
authentic. Compare this with a film like Death Wish 3, which is over
the top in it's ridiculous gun play and violence but doesn't come off
as smirking because it is incredibly serious the entire way through.
Even when the film turns into Charles Bronson and the Chief of Police
walking the street shooting thugs like killers in the Old West.

I like the original Daredevil but again, I am not a fan so I am less
hypercritical of it than others may be prone to be (not referring to
anyone here, but rather hardcore DD fanboys on various comic
boards).

If Marvel wants to make a Marvel Knights movie I would still much
rather see Power Man & Iron Fist. Makes a perfect trilogy of films as
well. Luke Cage, Power Man, followed by Iron Fist, followed by Heroes
For Hire.

I would rather see Iron Fist and Luke Cage in the current universe not a separate marvel knights verse, but that's just personal opinion. Just like I'd rather see Dr. Strange in one of the marvel movies coming up and feature in one.

I agree; I just meant that after War Zone was branded as "Marvel
Knights" rather than straight "Marvel" during the opening credits,
that any other of the MK properties would be branded as such in film
going forward.

good point. I guest the question is does Marvel have the blockbuster power to do a MK line of movies and generate revenue to justify them.
