Adoamros Chorster

"The creation of Adoamros is inspired by the image of Hannibal Birca,
the Carthaginian general and tactician in combat and war who fought
the Roman during the Second Punic War (218 - 202 BCE)".

Adoamros Choster was born in Athkatla of Amn, brought up in family of
a military background: his father Horhand, a retired soldier posted at
the garrison of Amn, a loving mother, and his elder brother Alberto.

The two brothers greatest influence were their father Horhand, who
never spoke of his experience in war and combat in a glorious, heroic
fashion, but would share his experience from the battles in the past
and analyses the strategies, emphasise the value of method and tactic
in warfare. He often teaches his children to use the head before the
hand, and encouraged them in the study of battle tactics. Even at his
retired life, he shows much wisdom in dealing with the daily life
methodologically, but especially from the game of chess.

The two brothers Alberto and Adoamros maintained a good friendship as
well as a good brotherhood between them, while Alberto is older and
have a more serious role being the eldest son; Adoamros has a softer
side to him and also a closer relationship with his mother. With the
influence of a loving mother, Adoamros enjoys the love and compassion
of humanity, thus, he cares about the common life and the feelings of
other people.

The two brothers brought up to follow the footpath and to see the same
value as their father's, Alberto successfully pressed through his
military training and have joined the Athkatlan army. On the other
hand, after the military training, Adoamros decided an army life was
not for him, he realised that although he is not a socialist, but he
enjoys being among the common life and wishes to directly deal with
the very people he is working for.

Though his family has not spoken about his decision of not joining the
force, but Adoamros could not help to feel the unspoken barrier
between him and his father. And each time his brother Alberto returned
home from his post, the reaction from his parents said to him that,
"Alberto is the ideal son". This might not be the truth, but perhaps
Adoamros was disappointed in himself for have made the choice for his
liberty and not for his family honour.

And so Adoamors fantasies that he could one day be involved with a
meaningful and notable course, and he began indulged himself in a self
perfection in his fighting skills and battle tactics, waiting that one
opportunity in letting him shine.

During this obsessive period of his, upon practising his
swordsmanship, he saw the sudden directional turn of a flying swallow,
and was inspired by the curved tails on the bird. Since then, he has
been trying to apply the same idea on the movement with the curve of
the Scimitar blade.

He believes, with the delicate turning movement from the wrist, using
the curve of the blade and its width; one could both deflect an
incoming blow and strike the attacker in one fluid movement. And the
same theory could apply with a rapid movement of the blade; once
unsheathe, the blade could travel from one direction to the other if
the wielder could grips the use of a certain angel. He has gone
through the extend in learning blade craft in aim to create his
perfect blade to support his theory in swordsmanship, at the same
time, he begun to write a book on his theory on using the curved
Scimitar with the working title named, "The Book of Swallow".

But the family was increasingly concerned about his developing
antisocial personality, and has pressured him in taking up a
professional role, though he wished to become member of the fighting
school where he could be sponsored for developing his theory in
swordplay, but was forced to take up a quick role at the known
blacksmith.

With Adoamors's free sprit, his role at the blacksmith had not lasted
too long, from the local connection, he found out that a caravan
company were seeking for a rear guard, and he jumped the chance to the
position, in hope that the life on the road would take him out of the
family pressure, his self doubt, and a chance to explore his wishes in
life and the pursuit of his art.

Personality wise Adoamors is a geek when it comes to fighting, he
loves discussing his theory in using his sword, battle tactics and
chess. He could work well with a group and able to find his role in
battle, but occasionally his listening skill let him down.
Socially he is usually approachable, but due to his self absorbing
character, he is not a topic starter.

He is currently writing his book, "The Book of Swallow" by being a
hired blade, in hoping that in time he could be sponsored by a
fighting school or a mercenary company as a tactician and a fighting
instructor, or save enough money to open his own.
