The Terrorland Report
The
King and Raja of corruption and terrorism -- Gen Mirza Aslam Beg and
Gen Ashfaq Parvez Kayani -- have started a direct media campaign against
Pakistan Army Chief Gen Raheel Sharif, who is determined to break the
nexus of generals and politicians that uses terrorism as ATM for decades. First they did it through ISI-MQM cyber guru
Ahmed Qureishi but it fired back... So, chief military spokesman
Lt-Gen Asim Bajwa has done the thing which usually Zaid Hamid and his
ilks do.
However, ex-servicemen believe that the
ISPR chief has issued a a fake statement in the name of COAS Gen Raheel as Gen Bajwa
has been doing it since Gen Rashad Mahmood couldn't become COAS. "This
current statement is aimed at deceiving the people of Pakistan and its
army," a retired four-star generals of Pakistan Army told The
Terrorland. "If Gen Raheel didn't return the looted money of martyrs and
ghazis no-one else can do it. He must be given extension to complete
his job. Otherwise Pakistan Army would react and it would be worst for
the ISI corruption cartel of Gen Kayani, Aslam Beg, Nawaz Sharif, Asif
Zardari, Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry, Riaz Malik etc," the general warned.
Here's a typical example of ISI-ISPR media propaganda against the army chief from the daily The Nation Islamabad:
--
Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif said he doesn't
believe in extension, Waqt News reported. “I will retire at the end of
my tenure,” he said. As quoted by the Inter-Services Public Relations
(ISPR), the Army
Chief said Pakistan Army is a great institute. “National interest is
most important for me,” he said. ISPR said all rumors regarding COAS'
extension are baseless. General Sharif added that Operation Zarb-e-Azb
and the war against terrorism will continue with full force. General
Raheel Sharif is considered to be one of most successful and
popular army chiefs in Pakistan's history. His involvement in the war
against terrorism and relations with the civilian government have added
to his repute. General Raheel Sharif assumed COAS office on November 29,
2013 after
General Kiyani. He started Operation Zarb-e-Azb in North Waziristan
which is considered to be last stronghold of TTP. He is due to retire on
November 29, 2016.
