Kalinar senses something! (TAG Shantiko and Akari)

[Jason M]

After some time passes Shantiko's illusion wears off and they can both
be seen again. Several onlookers, each of them male, notice the
dispersion of the the barrier that made the two lovers invisible.
Shantiko notices their scent change and nuzzles Akari awake. She wants
to avoid any more trouble. And besides that they could be in the
privacy of her room.

Just then, if Shantiko's urging didn't wake her Akari will suddenly

was not right. She smiles lightly at Shantiko and nods holding her
hand and leading her back towards the room where she some how /knew/
that Kalinar was trying to contact her. As soon as they get into the
room she reaches over gently lifting Kalinar from his resting place on

Shantiko dawns clothing with her magic. Again, it's anyone's guess how
real it is. This time it's far more practical for a fight. (She's
dressed a bit like Sango from Inuyasha. She looks a bit like a ninja
but her face isn't covered.)

Shantiko also grabs her personal set of two twin katana blades. They
resonate with power when she touches them.

"We should probably go outside. It if comes searching inside the dojo

White swirls of wind seem to join together in front front of them
forming a ring of white energy with the center of the ring pointed at
them [like a portal] The energy starts to become darker and darker.

to simply disappear as it got closer to the portal. Shantiko looked
much more tense than Akari did. Her three tails twitched in
anticipation.

Suddenly a black shiny tentacle shot out of the void and wrapped
around Shantiko's leg. Shantiko immediately tried to slice it but her
blade had no effect on the tentacle. Two more flew out, no one could
be certain as to what they were connected to if anything. They gripped
her arms pulling them wide apart so she couldn't attack. The creature
or in this case demon appeared and the void was gone. In it's place
was a spiny black mass of muscle. It was black and shiny like granite.
It's eyes were dark pools of evil which seemed to only see Shantiko.
It opened its mouth which didn't seem to be there before and licked
Shantiko, tearing her robe off.

"Augh!!! Perverted beast! Let me go! What will you do now?" She asked
it. It either didn't care or understand.

Shantiko struggled, feeling really stupid that she was so helpless in
front of her lover. She could fight. She really could. Just not like
this. She felt more embarrassed than anything right now. She wasn't
even scared. The tentacles like whips that seemed to just come out

The wind got stronger and larger things were getting smaller as they
got closer to the opening. They disappeared into the blackness when
they went in. Only Akari was unaffected by the pull of the void. When
Akari's blade entered the rift something happened. The flow of the
rift changed and the beast screamed when it realized what was
happening. The rift in his body was only sucking him into it. His own
body was imploding on itself. White light filled the once black void
as pieces came off the beasts body and flew into the opening. Before
too long nothing was left but the rip and that too vanished.

All the wind calmed down and Shantiko was left in awe at what her mate

Akari blushes faintly at that and nuzzles Shantiko, "You couldn't get
rid of me even with a thousand HOLY members my love. And I don't plan
to let Kalinar fall into the wrong sort of hands. I doubt I could ever
NOT draw him when I am in need, rather it be to defend or to attack. I

failing much like they must have before the great quake that
ultimately broke the lost ground from the rest of the continent and
brought forth the Alter power. This world could not handle that. I
have seen what people will do," yes Akari watched the news, "And if
given that sort of power....." she trails off shivering not just from
the chill of the wind but of the thoughts she feared voicing as if
they would bring about there very nature just by uttering them. SHe
smiles softly and rises helping Shantiko to her feet, she pulls on her
pants and wrap before holding out her long shirt then feels a little
foolish as Shantiko could use kitsune magic to cover herself but....
akari didn't want her to over do it in case that cleansing took more
of a toll on her beloved then akari herself knew about so she
continues to hold out the shirt expectantly.

Akari smiles as Shantiko takes the shirt and that smile broadens as
she watches her love put it on. "You're not irresponsible Shantiko.
what would have been would have been trying to continue on as if
nothing had happened and let that... thing.... fester within your body
feeding from you. then you would have been weakened and in no shape to
protect anyone." Akari very rarely sounds quite this serious and her
face is reflecting that seriousness, she wasn't just saying this to
make her lover feel better it was the honest truth.

And yes that aggitated her. She reaches out taking up Kalinar again
strapping him to her. then reaches out to take Shantiko's hand and
lead her back to the onsen.

Shantiko didn`t like displaying her body for those boys either. She
accepted Akari`s help back to their quarters. Luckily they weren`t
seen on the way.

The dojo had superficial damages. Normal methods would rpair them easily.

“I`m curious to see what you have for me to wear.” She says with a smile.

since I came here. She said that I was her chance to spoil a daughter
and has done so." she opens the wardrobe and begins to rumage before
there is a triumphant "AhHa there you are!" as she pulls a thick box
out of the back of the wardrobe, "I could not ever wear this, one my
chest doesn't quite fill it out and two I don't think I could do it
justice." She holds the box out to Shantiko inside is a dark silvery
green kimono with dragonflies etched in silver on it. The kimono
itself is clearly of high quality.

“Oh Akari!” She takes it both hands and holds it up to herself.
“Are you sure about this?” She can hardly believe she`d be given such
a nice gift. She also didn`t normally wear real clothes.

Akari smiles sweetly, "I can not think of a more perfect person to
wear such a beautiful kimono, it will accent your own beauty perfectly
i think." she turns and fishes around a little then lets out a hmmm of
happiness as she pulls out the pouches that would hide within the
folds of the kimono itself and within the obi, "Here I think these go
with the kimono." she holds out the pouches happy that she seems to
have been able to make Shantiko happy.
