Dearest BioRegionalistas,
The Campout is looking very positive. In the first e-flyer I sent, I suggested that some of us would be working on the land and preparing the site on Thursday and Friday, and I invited volunteers to join us. However, the forecast for Thursday suggests rain, so hold off or call before coming Thursday. We may be collecting some tables chairs etc in town and not be out there. (Phone info below, call Ted to find out if a work crew is there.).Even though it is not supposed to rain then anymore except a small chance Friday, the rains so far this week should make it wonderful on the land – mid 60’s overnight, mid-80’s in the day.
What to bring
Beginning Friday evening, each Breakfast, Dinner and Supper (Texas traditional names for the three meals – kinda Bioregional info, huh ??)) will be potluck, so bring food to share for each. We will likely spend most of our time away from the main house, so count on no electricity and would be good to bring some drinking water. Remember, this will be close enough to drive back and forth, so you don’t have to camp. There will be covered places for you to throw a bedroll, palette, or cot if you don’t want to set up a tent but want to stay out at Mary’s. You might enjoy having a hat, acoustic musical instruments, maybe a small table or two from a couple of you, a chair (We should have some folding chairs.), maybe ice chests and some of you may want to bring a self-contained cooker. (Jenny is in Colorado so her solar cooker won’t likely make it.) We will likely have a small fire, so anyone having an appropriate grill might bring it.
Times and subjects
On Friday at 3:00 PM, the Austin-Natural Meet-Up group will gather. This was formerly called the Permaculture and Transition Meet-Up group. Click on the following URL to find more info.

Assuming no rain, but probably even if raining we will be working to prepare the site until meeting time for this group. You’re invited to self-select to come around 10ish AM to help out. Thoughts of directions and nature of the Meet-up group will be discussed starting at 3:00 PM.
Ad Lib – time at individual’s choice-- Continue area preparation and/or select your campsite for weekend.
